Q: so how does your body feel you guys said the rookie you had King’s camp now you’re in Reign Camp how are you feeling how you holding up uh at this point here in Camp A: uh I feel great I mean uh it’s a good feeling to be back after after four months so I’m just enjoying every every moment here and can wait for the season to start
Q: yeah you get a couple games under your belt uh you know you got a preseason game with with the rain coming up this week what what are some of the things you’ve been learning what are some of the things that the coaches have been have been talking to you about over the last couple days A: obviously it was a great experience to play a preseason game so I learned a lot from those older guys and NHL players so I just want to take a lot from them and from from coaches and do my best in the preseason game and on the season as well
Q: what’s it like uh you know now you’re here you’re turning pro this is your first pro year order some of maybe some things guys have said do you try to make sure that you’re focused and ready to y’all here for your first pro season A: it’s exciting for sure for me like you said last three years I’ve played in OHL so this is my first year Pro and I can’t wait for for the league for the games how it will be I’m sure it’ll be way faster and harder more physical but I think I’m ready for it and can’t wait I can’t wait to start
Q: for uh for you living in in California what’s that been like if you’ve been anywhere outside the rink on on days off or you just relax and try to kind of rest up uh yeah we just moved into our new house it’s close to the beach so uh when we had the day off I just took a bike and go for a ride and see like what’s near our house but I mean I love this weather last year when I was in Kingston it was so cold and cold winter so I can’t wait for for the winter here
Q: what’s it been like learning from for Marco sternum the last couple days you’re getting more used to him as your coach and a guy who played in the NHL for a long time A: he’s a great coach and uh yeah like I said he’s a he was a great player so out I want to learn as much as I can from him and I’m sure he’ll be he’ll be a great coach
